    cut in half horizontally

  • beef burger patties icon
    2 x 6 oz beef burger patties

    1-inch thick

  • vegetable oil icon

Instructions

  • 1Insert the oven rack into position 3 Down. Place the buns cut side up in the air fry basket. Place the basket into position 1. Set the oven to Broil, High, for 3 minutes and press Start to toast the buns.
  • 2The buns should be lightly toasted. If not, press A Bit More.
    Tip: It may need a little more or a little less extra cooking time, best to keep an eye on it.
  • 3Remove the buns from the basket and set aside. Leave the basket in position 1. Place the roasting pan on the rack, to catch any drips during cooking. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 445°F for 17 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
  • 4Place the patties on a plate, brush with the oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • 5When the oven signals, continue to preheat for a further 5 minutes. When there is 12 minutes remaining on the cooking time, carefully place the patties in the basket and air fry for 12 minutes. Ignore the Turn/Shake signal halfway during cooking.
  • 6The patties are ready when a meat thermometer inserted into the center reads 145°F for well-done. If not, press A Bit More.
    Tip: It may need a little more or a little less extra cooking time, best to keep an eye on it.
  • 7Place a slice of cheese on each patty and return to the oven to allow the cheese to melt in the residual heat.
  • 8To assemble the burgers, spread a little mayonnaise over the base of the burger buns. Top with a patty, pickles, mustard, tomato, lettuce the bun top and serve.
