Air-Fried Quick Baby Back Ribs

The oven works its quiet magic on these lip-smackin’ ribs. Three simple ingredients and some unfussy air frying gives big bang for your buck! Succulent, sticky and flavor-packed, pair them with your favorite slaw or potato salad.

Measurements:

  • baby back pork ribs icon
    3½ lb baby back pork ribs
  • barbecue spice rub icon
    2 tbsp (¾ oz) barbecue spice rub
  • barbecue sauce icon
    ½ cup (4 fl oz) barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • 1Remove the silver skin by running a flat knife between two of the ribs of the rack. Insert your thumb underneath the skin, peel off and discard the skin. Cut the ribs in half.
  • 2Line the roasting pan with 2 large strips of foil. Place the ribs upside down on the foil. Sprinkle with half the spice rub. Turn the ribs over and sprinkle with the remaining spice rub. Fold the foil over the ribs to seal.
  • 3Insert the oven rack into position 2 Down. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 375°F, for 1 hour and press Start to preheat.
  • 4Once preheated, place the ribs in the oven and air fry for 1 hour. Ignore the Turn/Shake signal during cooking.
  • 5The ribs should be tender and easily separate from the bone when cut with a knife. If not, reseal and press A Bit More.
    Tip: It may need a little more or a little less extra cooking time, best to keep an eye on it.
  • 6Remove the ribs from the roasting pan and foil. Line the roasting pan with a clean piece of foil, place the broiling rack in the pan. Place the ribs on the rack and brush all over with the barbecue sauce.
    Tip: Use your favorite barbecue sauce.
  • 7Place the pan in the oven. Set the oven to Broil, High, for 10 minutes and press Start.
  • 8The ribs should be caramelized. If not, press A Bit More.
    Tip: It may need a little more or a little less cooking, best to keep an eye on it.
  • 9Cut the ribs into pieces and serve.
