The golden tots of joy just got an air fry facelift for extra double crunch! Loaded with bacon and cheese…the garlic cream sauce sends everything soaring into the ‘totesphere’. Hold on tight…it’s an experience.
1Insert the oven rack into position 3 Down. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 400°F, for 12 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
2Place the bacon and ¼ cup (2 fl oz) water in the roasting pan.
3Place the tater tots in the air fry basket and shake the basket to spread evenly in a single layer.
4Once preheated, place the bacon on the oven rack and the tater tots into position 1 and air fry for 12 minutes. When the oven signals, add the lighter part of the onion to the bacon and stir. Continue cooking.
5When the oven has 1 minute remaining on the timer, remove the bacon and onion. Adjust the oven to 425°F, for 10 minutes and continue air frying the tater tots, shaking the basket halfway through. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
6To make the seasoning salt, place all the spices in a bowl and mix to combine. Set aside.
7To make the garlic cream, place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Set aside.
8Drain the bacon and onion mixture on paper towel and set the pan aside.
9The tater tots should be golden and crisp. If not, press A Bit More.
Tip: It may need a little more or a little less extra cooking time, best to keep an eye on it.
10Transfer the tater tots to the roasting pan. Sprinkle with the seasoning salt and toss to coat. Top with the cheese and the bacon and onion mixture.
11Move the oven rack to position 1 Down. Adjust the oven time to 3 minutes and press Start to preheat.
12When the oven signals, place the loaded tater tots in the oven and air fry for 3 minutes. When the oven signals halfway through cooking, rotate the pan and continue cooking.
13The cheese should be melted. If not, press A Bit More.

14Top the tater tots with the garlic cream and sprinkle with the green part of the onion. Serve.
