Group head purge

To create the perfect cup of third wave specialty coffee, it is essential that the Bambino® Plus and its inside components are free from all residuals from the coffee you have already made. 
Purging the group head removes any coffee grinds and espresso residue that can build up after every extraction. The group head purge keeps your machine in good working order and ensures that each and every coffee tastes great. We recommend that you do a group head purge before and after each brew. 
Before starting a coffee-making session, perform a group head purge by inserting the filter basket into the portafilter. Next, insert the portafilter into the group head and lock it into place. Then, press the '1-Cup' button to run a short flow of hot water through the group head.
After a water flow of about five seconds, press the '1-Cup' button again to stop the water. This process purges the coffee residue from the group head and stabilizes the water temperature for your extraction. 
Finally, after your extraction, run the group head purge once more so it is ready to brew your next perfect cup of coffee.
