How to perform a clear water backflush

As every professional barista knows, it is essential to regularly clean your machine and components to ensure nothing comes between you and the rich, smooth flavor of third wave specialty coffee. To ensure your Bambino® Plus is always ready to brew a perfect cup, we recommend that you perform a clear water backflush at the end of each brewing session to remove any coffee ground or oil residue buildup. 
First, empty and replace the drip tray. Next, insert the grey silicone disk into the portafilter, then return the portafilter into the group head and lock it into place. Then, press the '1-Cup' button. Let the pressure build up for about 20 seconds, then press the '1-Cup' button again. Water will have been flushed into the drip tray.
Repeat the cycle three more times to complete the clear water backflush. After completing the backwater flush, empty the drip pan, and rinse it well before returning it into place. 
Perform this clear water backflush at the end of each brewing session, and The Bambino® Plus will always stand ready to brew another perfect cup of delicious, full-bodied coffee.
