How to clean and unblock the steam wand

Perfectly textured milk is the secret ingredient to making third wave specialty coffee at home. It balances the espresso flavor, smooths any bitterness, and produces a silky texture and velvety mouthfeel. 
The Bambino® Plus is equipped to steam and texture any type of milk so you can customize your coffee to your taste. Regularly cleaning and unblocking the steam wand keeps it in ideal condition to brew your next cup and top it with latte art. 
We recommend you purge the steam wand after every use. After using the steam wand, wipe it down thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth. Then, lower the wand to purge automatically. If the wand becomes blocked, it will immediately stop working, and the 'Steam' button and the milk temperature and texture lights will all flash. 
The steam tip cleaning tool can be used to unscrew the tip of the wand. Next, soak the tip in hot water for a few minutes before screwing it back into place. Then, you can use the end of the cleaning tool to clear away any remaining blockages in the steam wand tip. 
Another quick purge, and The Bambino® Plus is ready to steam and texture more milk.
